Kensal Green Cemetery is located in west London, on a 72 acre (29 hectare) site bounded on the north by Harrow Road, on the west by Scrubs Lane, on the east by Ladbroke Grove, and the south by the Grand Union Canal. There are two gates in daily use on Harrow Road, and a door leading to Ladbroke Grove:
Please also note that the Upper, Royal or Queen Victoria Gate, mid-way between the western and eastern gates, is no longer in general use. The nearest London Underground stations are Kensal Green on the Bakerloo Line and Ladbroke Grove on the Hammersmith and City Line. The cemetery is also served by buses 18, 23, 28, 52, 70, 295, 316 and 452; please use the Journey Planner button under the map, above, to plan your journey with Transport for London. There is limited parking in front of the Main Gate on Harrow Road. For tours, please allow at least ten minutes to reach the Anglican Chapel, in the middle of the cemetery, from any entrance. Please note that, while the principal avenues are roughly paved for vehicle access, most of the paths are packed earth or gravel, and the ground throughout the cemetery is extremely uneven. Stout shoes or boots, and extreme caution, are advised for any excursions off the marked paths. Summer (1 April to 30 September) Winter (1 October to 31 March) * Please note that the Main Gate and Ladbroke Grove
entrance generally close at least half-an-hour before the Top Gate; closing
time is clearly posted at both gates.
