General Cemetery Bill

The General Cemetery Bill was considered unopposed by the House of Commons Select Committee on Monday 13 October and passed through to its third and final reading in the Commons on 16 October.
All that remain at today's date (17 October 2025) are the final tidying-up stages and Royal Assent.
Indicating what an impressively short timescale this is, the Malvern Hills Bill, submitted to Parliament via the Lords on the same date in November 2024 but having received 50 petitions against it, has yet to be considered by a Select Committee in the Lords.
